5 Make-up-Trends von Youtube-Beautystars abgesegnet

Always at the forefront of trends, always the newest and most interesting products, and in constant dialogue with brands, fans, and drugstore chains – you’d have to be a YouTube beauty blogger. YouTube star Hatice Schmidt is one of the makeup pros followed by hundreds of thousands of fans and trend enthusiasts. Good reason to take a closer look at the latest trends – all, of course, Hatice-approved.

Flushed cheeks

Those struggling with permanently red cheeks might be surprised by this trend: Right now, the look in is having rosy cheeks as if you were either very embarrassed or just came straight from the gym.

Yes, rosy cheeks are “a thing” this fall and winter. For everyone getting a pink color flashback – rosy cheeks were quite popular in the 2000s and were part of Paris and Nicky Hilton’s basic look back then. Now the trend is back and brings some advantages: Especially in winter, when the skin tends to be pale, this trend adds color to our face and thus a fresh and healthy complexion. And the best part? Rosy cheeks suit every skin type!

If you’re not quite ready to go for pink, you can also vary the trend a bit and opt for apricot tones. There are two ways to apply the blush: Either the powder blush is applied with a medium-sized blush brush or a fan brush onto the cheeks, extending up over the cheekbones. The best way to do this is by smiling at yourself in the mirror – the colored powder will sit best at the highest point, where the cheeks more or less form circles.

The second option is to use cream blush in a jar: Smile into the mirror and gently dab the cream blush with your fingers onto the highest point of the cheeks. Then lightly blend and repeat as often as needed until the cheeks show a healthy, clearly pink tint.

Graphic eyeliner

Shade of Blue - @bobbibrown Lapis Eyeshadow is an amazing colour. I wanted to do graphic yet soft and I think it came out exactly how I had hoped. 💎You may notice I have watermarked my image with my name as I'm noticing a lot of my images being reposted without my approval and without correct credits to the creator of the image. I'm so grateful to all of those who tag me when they know it's mine when I'm not being credited... When asking why they didn't credit I have been told in the past they found on Pinterest which in some cases could be a lie in some cases it's the truth. For those fierce kids sticking up for me THANK YOU! please do it politely as we never will know how they found the image. I'm beyond flattered that people wanna repost my work and honored that it inspires people as that's all I simply want to do with my account. Love to all and have a great week. Xox #kjhcloseup

Admittedly, the trend isn’t exactly new, but it’s now coming back with new energy and in an even more striking style: The “Graphic eyeliner” trend uses a felt-tip-like eyeliner not only to draw a bold line but also to decorate the entire eye with additional lines and arches. What’s new is that not only can different lines overlap and cross, for example, at the outer corner of the eye, but different colors can also be used. This trend is certainly not for inexperienced hands and can be understood as next-level eyeliner application. Anyone for whom a perfect eyeliner is no challenge is in the right place here.

One variation of the edgy look can be achieved like this:

First, prime the eyelid with an eyeshadow base. Then, using an eyeliner (for a clean result, those resembling a felt-tip pen work best here), draw a black line close to the lash line and extend it to the outermost corner of the outer eye. Next, draw an arch over the movable eyelid without touching the line of the previously drawn eyeliner. If desired, you can now add some color: draw another eyeliner line just above the black one with a colored eyeliner. Do not blend.

Hot pink

Hot pink – now we wear it on the eyes

The trendiest eyeshadow color? According to YouTube favorite and beauty expert Hatice Schmidt, definitely hot pink! To make the eyeshadow last longer, it’s recommended to apply an eyeshadow base first. For a soft, blended style, build up the eyeshadow in several layers with a soft eyeshadow brush until the desired result is achieved. For those who prefer a strong, well-contoured look, apply the eyeshadow generously with a firmer brush and do not blend afterwards. The lips stay in the background with this look and are only given a bit of gloss or a nude lipstick shade.

Lip gloss

Lip gloss – trendy again after years of matte lipsticks

The 2000s trends are back in the beauty world too: while the last few years were dominated mainly by perfectly contoured, matte lips à la Kylie Jenner or Beyoncé, wet shiny lips are making a comeback. YouTube beauty star Hatice loves lip gloss all year round – many of us have to get used to the glossy look again.

But don’t worry: thick and sticky lip glosses are now rare, and the sweet bubblegum scent is a thing of the past. Today’s textures are often light, latte-macchiato-resistant, and odorless. Unlike dry, matte lipstick textures, lip gloss flatters every lip shape and color. Lips instantly look fuller, plumper, and visibly younger, fine lines are concealed, and lipstick color doesn’t settle.

Color in the inner corner of the eyes

Since Kylie Jenner’s beauty tutorial for VOGUE, highlighting the inner corner of the eyes has become really trendy again. And not just with any white or pearly eyeshadow shade – after all, Kylie wouldn’t be Kylie if she didn’t go for neon yellow or bright orange. YouTube star and makeup pro Hatice combines two trends at once and places bright neon pink in the inner corner of her eyes. A real eye-catcher for everyone who wants a bit of color but doesn’t want to overdo it.
