Meghan Markle’s Beauty Geheimnisse – so schminkst du den Prinzessinen-Look nach

Meghan Markle’s Beauty Geheimnisse – so schminkst du den Prinzessinen-Look nach

For not too long, royal style awareness has had a new name: Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex. Whether eye-catching bridal gown or casual tennis stands look – her talent for combining elegant designer pieces with casual basics has already earned her much praise from the front row of fashion. As varied as Meghan loves her clothing style to be, her makeup, on the other hand, is simple and uncomplicated.

Meghan Markle’s beauty favorites: These products she always wears

Natural and flawless – that’s how Meghan’s makeup looks at every public appearance. A healthy and radiant complexion that lets freckles shine through and never looks cakey, long, thick lashes, and usually a creamy, nude lipstick.

But anyone who now believes that the natural Meghan look is the result of hours of fine work is mistaken: According to her own statement, Meghan uses only a tinted day cream for a natural duchess look. To avoid looking too tired at daily appointments as a new mom, she also relies on a concealer that instantly erases dark circles. Trendy makeup trends like contouring or strobing, which define the face and make small flaws disappear, are not found on the newly minted royal. Instead, Meghan relies on a delicate blush that makes her look not only healthy but also years younger. Even though there is often talk of small conflicts between the two leading ladies at the British court – in the choice of their preferred beauty tool for a fresh look, they seem to agree: Catherine’s signature look has also consisted of a good dose of rose-colored blush for years.

Several layers of mascara and a neutral lipstick color complement the Meghan Markle look with a copy factor.

It’s not hard to guess: Meghan Markle’s beauty secret

Long makeup procedures, sitting for hours in the makeup chair, and two hair stylists taking care of the royal mane? Even though we imagine Meghan’s daily styling for the royal glam look something like that – makeup artist Daniel Martin, makeup artist and responsible for her wedding wow look – recently revealed rather by chance that only one person is allowed to do Meghan’s makeup. Meghan herself! Whether out of habit from non-royal days or simply a loving ritual: Meghan prefers to do her makeup herself. And not only that: In an interview, the former actress revealed that her daily makeup ritual takes only five minutes. Really likeable.

Red lips and smoky eyes: Why Meghan will never be seen with them

While she used to like it striking with red lips for the sexy red carpet dress, Meghan today prefers it subtle, inconspicuous, and classic. Hair either loose in soft waves or tightly in a classic bun, makeup subtle and confident. However, there is said to be another reason why Meghan (and Catherine too) avoid smoky eyes and red lacquer lips: the Queen herself would be not amused by it. Rumor has it that the Queen still associates heavily made-up eyes and red lips more with the red-light district than with glamour and therefore does not like it when her grandchildren’s partners try to shine with lots of makeup. The concern is unfounded, though; both have long found their signature look and will probably not change it anytime soon.

This is how you do the look with the Meghan factor

The Meghan Markle look has caught your fancy and you would like to recreate it? Nothing easier than that. What do you need? A tinted day cream, some concealer, dark kohl pencil, mascara, pink blush, and nude-colored lipstick.

  • Prime your face with the lightly tinted day cream. If this is not enough coverage for you, you can also apply some bronzing powder. However, you should avoid a heavily covering foundation for the Meghan Markle look.
  • Dab some concealer under your eyes to cover any shadows and blend it well towards the outer corners of your eyes. Now draw a subtle eyeliner line very close to your lash line and blend this as well with a brush or a cotton swab.
  • Mascara and nude lipstick on the lips complete the look.

Suddenly a princess? Unfortunately, nothing more than that. And the best part is: the Meghan Markle makeup style is so casual that it even makes it to the office.
